Many goods in supermarkets are printed with parallel stripes in black and white on the outer packaging, which is a barcode. Barcode is like a commodity ID card, it records the name, origin, specification, price and other information of the commodity. At the checkout, the cashier only needs to scan these barcodes with a scanner, and the detailed information of the goods will be displayed on the computer screen.
Each product has only a unique product barcode. After the barcode is scanned, it is not only convenient for checkout, but also sales information can be entered into the computer network, helping managers to grasp the inventory information of various commodities in time.
